QUESTONS: Why do you think the author put some appealing characteristics into his hypothetical world? In what ways does Brave New World match (or stray from) the satire model we discussed in class?
The author may had put so many appealing characteristics in the hypothetical world, to show us how wonderful life can be. Especially when diseases and wars are over and"everyone has a job, and sex is encouraged." This is to introduce the darker side of this society that people ignore because of the benefits. The story matches the satires from class because the author makes us see how wrong such a utopia can be. The irony of losing all freedom and choices for stability leaves us wondering which would we perfer.
