Soooo...
Its the third day since we got the book i think. I'm on Part II Chapter VI pg 99. =O
I actually started reading Brave New World the night we got them and i have to say, it took my intrest. In my perspective the book takes place in the future wayyy ahead where all emotions and serious thinking is restricted [frowned on?]. One of the reasons i found this book intresting is because there's a discussion where a characters compare OUR life style with theirs, and they found OUR's unbelieveable + impossible + chaotic etc..]
Everyone has been brainwashed since they were born.
People are created in labs and have their jobs and physical as well as mental abilities predetermined. The citizens take drugs whenever they're feeling any negative emotions.Umm the book progresses through the perspectives of its major characters and especially on characters who know something's wrong and that they're different.
A world where critical thinking and unhappiness is banned.
Sounds GREAT, doesn't it? =D

Hey Wilson, I'm not in your group but I'm commenting anyway. Your book sounds interesting. Ah, predetermined lives...how easy would that be? So easy that I wouldn't want it even if you paid me! Your book is definitely on my reading list.
